Goals


1. To provide a wide range of activities that will encourage participation.


2. To promote the concept that a healthy lifestyle must include regular exercise or physical fitness activities.


3. To promote the concepts of good sportsmanship and positive social interaction in support of the values of physical education in the school environment.


4. To help all students realize that regular physical activity is a physiological, psychological and enjoyable means to maintaining a healthy body, positive self-image and sense of personal well-being.


5. To encourage healthy lifestyle habits by promoting: regular exercise, balanced diet, weight control, stress reduction and avoiding health risks like tobacco, alcohol and drugs.


6. To provide a safe environment where all students have the opportunity to participate and have fun in a non-pressure atmosphere.
